iRHEcoSense project
The iRHEcoSense project is an ambitious research and innovation initiative focused on the design, development, and validation of an advanced robotic hand equipped with distributed sensory capabilities and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for autonomous manipulation of objects in complex real-world scenarios. The operation aims to push the boundaries of robotic manipulation by integrating state-of-the-art sensor technologies with machine learning algorithms, enabling precise, adaptive, and context-aware interactions with diverse objects — from irregular shapes to delicate materials.
The project’s core objectives include:
Developing an innovative robotic hand prototype with distributed sensorial feedback across the entire structure;
Implementing advanced AI and machine learning systems for real-time perception, adaptation, and decision making;
Collecting and structuring rich sensory datasets to support ongoing innovation and future industrial applications;
Validating the prototype in real operational environments, demonstrating performance improvements in industrial, scientific, and medical contexts;
Enhancing process efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability compared to conventional robotic solutions.
Throughout its implementation, the iRHEcoSense project has achieved significant milestones in functional prototypes, sensory integration, and adaptive AI behavior. These results lay the groundwork for future commercialization and broader adoption in sectors where precise and intelligent robotic manipulation is essential.
