Seed Robotics was born out of the need for advanced manipulation capabilities in compact and robust form factors. We aim our products at developers upgrading from simple grippers, competitors in Robocup and Hurocup and Researchers working in the areas of manipulation.
Our hands use a tendon based, under actuated architecture, packing a high density of individual actuators in very compact form factors. The built in 32 bit Cortex M4 and smart actuators provide feedback of position, speed, temperature, current measurement at high sampling rate (100Khz) on all actuated joints.
All models come with dineema (Kevlar) reinforced tendons, safety finger detachment system and hybrid metal-polymer design for best performance and maximum reliability.
At just 163mm long, the RH4D offers individual control of wrist rotation, wrist flexion, thumb movement and index fingers. A compact option for robots requiring simpler gasping capability. Ideal for competition and robots 50~90cm tall.
The advanced RH7D offers an anthropomorphic design with opposable thumb adduction and flexion and spherical wrist joint (rotation, flexion and adduction). You can find independent control of all these joints plus index finger and middle fingers flexion.
A wide range of options are available to customize the hands to your needs including longer fingers (72 mm), multiple hardware interfaces and an open source firmware supporting several standard protocols.
